8 Tips for a Successful Yoga Class!

1. Eat something light 2-3 hours before start time.  I like to eat a little soup with spinach, vegan cheese and avocado.
2.  Drink a liter/so of water but not right before class, unless you like to regurgitate.
3.  Give yourself 10-15 minutes to park if you're driving/sign in to the class if that's available.  If I come to a yoga class completely flustered it takes a little more time to calm down.
4.  Wear clothes that are comfortable.  Sometimes I forget and wear flowy tops which aren't the best when doing headstands. (insert flash mob).
5.  Try to wash makeup off before hand, with water or a cleansing wipe.  When the sweat starts to drip into your eyes, it stings if you have eye makeup on.
6.  Smile at the teacher.  They might've just had a bad day and need your positive energy to get through.
7.  Really try to be present.  Forget what happened before and what's going to happen after class.  Just be.
8.  Thank your teacher & offer comments and if the comments happen to be negative, try to put a positive twist on them.
