Switch Up!

There is really nothing better
than being outside with good people,
heart pumping to music & doing something
that feels worth it,
inside and out.

If you don't notice any changes
in your body and you want them,
it's time to switch up the routine!
Add more cardio (I added more FAST walking),
eat less (I started using measuring cups!),
drink more water and drink less booze!

The Ayurvedic Results!

Inches, Lbs, Less than happy thoughts...
decreased enough for me to stick with this
Ayurvedic way of life!

I feel like this has made a HUGE difference
to my hunger and energy levels.
Bottom Line: Take a multi-vitamin.

Before you shower, lather Light Sesame Oil all over body (except face),
rinse off with water, then use a LOOFAH to exfoliate.
This ritual will SERIOUSLY open your pores! I tan more evenly, have a summer-like scent and feel the wind at a high velocity!
IT'S AWESOME!

It's $10 at Rite Aid!

After you feel the baby smooth skin,
indulge in a taste bud quenching beverage...

Why spend $4 daily at Starbuck's when you can make it
at home for $5 for the week if not longer??

J's Chai Tea:

1 Cup of Vanilla Almond Milk: 90 Calories
1 TBSP of Organic Raw Agave Nectar: 60 Calories
A sprinkle/dash of Cinnamon: 5 Calories

Total: 155 Calories

I drink this DELICIOUS tea some mornings and eat an apple/bowl of fruit.
If not this Chai Tea, then Green Tea or Vanilla Chamomile Tea.

YUM.

According to Ayurvedic followers,
you should start your day with HOT tea and fruit to detox.

Ayur..what?

The last 3 weeks of training for yoga include: learning about the importance of a healthy diet. Last Thursday, Silvia informed us yogi's about an Ayurvedic lifestyle. This week, I will step out of bed with my right foot, drink water only at room temperature (no ice), use a neti pot, exfoliate with oil before showering and use a tongue scraper morning and night. After Sunday, I will let you know the results! Apparently, your skin has more chance to breathe (after the exfoliation), taste buds change (after the scraping) and you lose weight (no ice water).

If you'd like to know more, just comment and I'll attach some articles!

Silver Lining

Celebrity- Go on the Bachelor & get kicked off the first week.

Friday Harbor, WA
6.3.11

I met a ton of Seattle hot shots and drank more muddled lemonades than I thought possible. Met the concert promotion pioneer, Pat O'Day and had the privilege of stepping foot into his award room on the first floor of his mansion. Pictures of Pat and Jimi Hendrix lined the wall, even spotted one of him and Elvis.
My favorite framed item was the Rolling Stone concert ticket stub from '65.

Now, it all makes sense.

I went on that show so I could participate in a "celebrity" golf tournament, meet Pat and hang with a bunch of awesome people.

Too Damn Good

Crab & Veggie Omelette.
Fresh Fruit.
Coffee.

Yes, please.
