When my friends tell me that they are too scared to do something, I am quick to say, JUST DO IT! What are we living for if we are not being honest and real with one another? SAY WHAT YOU THINK...kindly. If you are mad, say it. If your feelings are hurt, say it. If you are scared, say it.
I am scared of so many things! Seriously! If I let my fear control my life, I would never leave my house! And there was a time when I felt like I never would. But those are the lowest of the lows and they don't last forever. I'm sure there's been a couple moments in your life when you thought everything was too much to handle and there's no way you were going to get out of it. And look! YOU SURVIVED!
I figured if I shared this list, others would feel better about sharing their fears...
I'm scared of...
- forgetting to pay a bill on time.
- my former broken right foot not being able to move in the morning.
- food allergies getting the best of me.
- not being able to do it all.
- traveling to foreign countries.
- negative feedback.
- getting fat.
- not knowing enough.
- getting vertigo while I teach yoga
- dying.
- growing older.
- getting lied to.
- nightmares.
Here's what I'm not scared of...
- helping people.
- listening to the truth.
- trying new foods.
- being strong.
- failing.
- living in the moment.
- pushing people towards a better life.
- making meal recommendations.
- selecting music for a yoga class.
- letting people feel okay to be themselves, fully.
- living.
- sharing my struggles.
- not sugarcoating.
- endless dreaming and goal-setting.
